A Guardian Home is a family that will house and care for one of our Bostons or Dobermans during her/his breeding years under a contract. Once this contract is completed the dog will retire with your family. If interested Please note it when filling Puppyapplicationn.

The dog will reside with the guardian family with the following considerations:
- The dog will be kept as a family companion and be treated with love and care. She will live in the home and be treated well.
-No other Intact dogs shall live or be around said dog.
-The Guardian family is responsible for transporting the dog to and from the breeder.
Must Live within 1-3 hours of the breeder near Denver, CO, and be willing to bring the dog to the breeder.
- All expenses in maintaining the dog in good health will be the responsibility of the guardian family, including but not limited to, daily care, food, housing, veterinary care, training expenses, etc. The breeder assumes no financial responsibility for such expenses.
-It is suggested that the guardian home purchase health insurance for the dog but is not required. Highly suggest Trupanion.
- The guardian home agrees to keep all vaccinations current as directed by the Breeder, as well as maintain medications to prevention of flea & tick infestation if needed, and immunity supplement (NuVet order code 360377). Breeder can provide vaccinations at no charge(other than rabies).
- In order to keep veterinary care transparent and efficient, the guardian home will use ____(TBD) for general care.
- The guardian home agrees to keep the dog in a safe place under their watch and control.
- The guardian family will not let the dog run free and unattended unless in a fenced yard while exercising the dog. The dog will be on a leash on walks or in public.
- Any person or property damaged by the dog is the full liability and financial responsibility of the family caring for the dog at the time the damage occurred- applies to both guardian and breeder.
- DITR reserves the right to advertise and promote the dog as their own.
-Must send good quality monthly photos and videos of the said dog to the breeder.

Showing and Training:
The guardian home agrees to teach the dog basic manners and provide an environment that encourages good behavior of the dog. The breeders allow the guardian family the opportunity to compete with the dog in any AKC venue they choose. The breeder recognizes that showing and training can be a wonderful experience and enhance the dog-owner relationship in doing so and encourages the guardian families to consider taking classes with their dog. The breeder will refund for confirmation show class fees that the guardian family takes.
Will be compensated for titles the guardian family earns on the dog: Rally Novice (RN), Canine Good Citizen (CGC),and Conformation Show Champion. Agility Titles, FastCAT. Compensation for other titles should be agreed upon in writing before earning the title. Costs of entries and other costs involved are the responsibility of the breeder party. If the guardian home elects not to earn any recognized titles on their dog, they agree to allow the breeder to train and compete with the dog at the breeder’s convenience and expense.
When a males duty calls he will be required to stay with the breeder until the female has been successfully bred. After breeding take place the male will go back to you Until he is needed again. All breeding expenses will be paid by the breeder. All pet expenses such as vaccinations, vet exams, etc is your responsibility. Once the Male hits the age mentioned in the contract Can range- from 2-5 yrs) and has been retired, I the breeder will get him Neutered and he will remain with you as a pet.
When the female comes to the appropriate age for breeding, she will be brought to the breeder to be bred. Once bred she will go home with you where she’ll remain up until her last two weeks. She’ll stay at the breeder’s until puppies have left, she will than be sent back to you. Once she is ready for retirement around 3 yrs old, breeder will be responsible for spay surgery, and after she has been fixed she will remain with you as a pet. Breeder will be responsible for all health testing cost. But you will be responsible for vet exams and vaccinations.
