The temperament of the Boston Terrier you are going to get is of the utmost importance because that will determine your bond, attachment, and love for him/her.
Our breeding program is designed to produce Boston Terriers that are healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. We carefully select our breeding pairs based on a variety of factors, including health, temperament, pedigree, and conformation.
At Diamonds In The Ruff, our dogs are raised in our home in a loving and nurturing family environment, and we take great care to ensure that they receive the best possible care, love, and socialization.
About Shannon (Owner/breeder) We are a family-owned that has been raising and training dogs for over 18 years. A little about me, I'm a Colorado Native. I do have type 1 diabetes and I'm a single woman with 4 kids ages 11, 10, 7, 5. From an early age, I have been captivated by the world of dogs. Their loyalty, unwavering companionship, and unique personalities have always held a special place in my heart. I believe that the bond between humans and dogs is a remarkable and enriching experience that brings joy to our lives.
My journey into dog breeding began with a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of these incredible animals. I have worked with and bred many different breeds but I chose to specialize in breeding Boston Terriers because of their distinct qualities and the admiration I hold for this breed. Boston Terriers are known for their good-natured, playful, and cheerful disposition.
One of the primary motivations for my path as a breeder is my commitment to preserving the breed standards and health of Boston Terriers. I believe in upholding the highest ethical standards, including beyond the normal genetic testing, health screenings, and responsible breeding practices. Ensuring that the puppies I produce are healthy and free from hereditary diseases is of utmost importance to me.
Becoming a dog breeder also allows me to educate prospective dog owners about the unique characteristics and requirements of these breeds. Guiding new owners in their journey to provide a loving and caring home for their new furry family members is a rewarding aspect of what I do. I'm also proud to be a part of a community of fellow breed enthusiasts who share my passion. Together, we work to promote the well-being of our chosen breeds, participate in events, and engage in collaborative efforts that benefit dogs and their owners.
Raising puppies from birth and finding them loving homes is an incredibly fulfilling experience. I have worked hard on my program for years through ups and downs, but I continue to strive for the best health, temperament, confirmation, and more. At times, it's very hard, exhausting, heartbreaking, expensive so expensive, demanding, and much more! My kids and I put our heart and soul into this! The joy of seeing these puppies grow and thrive, knowing that they will become cherished members of other families, is a driving force behind my work.
We think our Boston's, Shiba's and Frenchie's add love, beauty, and grace to our home, and like many who have our puppies, we cannot imagine life without them!
